I built it myself out of a piece of 3"x5" rectangular tube steel and I used my original end caps. I wanted something that looked close to stock, but much more substantial that bolted straight to the frame rails.

I really dig it! Very clean. I would need something to protect the corner panels tho. But overall I love it. :high5:

I am new here but thought I would post. The black one is mine. An 86 with SAS. It was built when I bought it. Added a soft top and have to rebuild the front diff due pinion nut backing off. Photo from Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer, TX. A couple weeks before the Toyota event.

Looks like the timing chain tensioner busted and threw the chain a few teeth. Hoping its not too much collateral damage. As of now there is no compression on any cylinder. Tear down starts this week.

When I bought the truck back, the previous owner had a TJM on the front, and sliders and a rear bumper made of square tubing. After I dinged the rear corner on a rock, I had a local shop, Krawltex, in Austin, put all of the round tubing on. He did a great job in my opinion. He also added the front hoops to the TJM.

I think that looks great,
the roof kept the original color (always was black)
