The V10 R8 is basically a Lambo with an Audi body. For the price, I think it's totally worth every penny. Very nice car!

to the OP, good decision being that you live in Greenwich. Can you imagine what your neighbors would have thought seeing your son in a toyota.... If you didnt come in here to just troll pleasepost up some pics.A pic of all of those rides together would be pretty impressive. Oh and just my 2cents, one of my best friends in college was given a mercedes clk for his first car at 16, then a jeep and a crysler crossfire 2years later. That kid was so out of touch with reality that most people couldnt stand him, and I grew to feel the same way. But your son will always have whatever he wants no matter how much he fails, kudos to you.

LOL, I was joking about the 99% quote.
I hate the 99% BS as well, but when someone with a million dollars worth of cars is asking whether he should buy his son a 4runner or a GX, he's just asking for it. No offence, and I'm not hating at all. I wish I can provide the things he provides for his family, but until I win the powerball, I'll have to stick with buying my daughter and wife a 88 Scirocco and a 93 Passat :happens:

I loved the 1984 Audi 5000 my parents handed down to me baby!! 5 speed 5 cylinder that wouldn't hit 100 off a cliff!!
89 Subaru.. No power anything. 60 was about max for it. Had it through College, still miss it to this day. Missing paint and all.

I have to shake my head reading this.
I think back to an article I read about a famous hockey player, who is a millionaire now, who stated his favourite car was the first one he bought ... a piece of junk. He never had to worry about friends getting sick in it, a pizza being dumped on the seat, a skate cutting up the seat upholstry etc. etc. Now that he has the everything, including tons of responsibilites, he looks fondly back on those worry free days.
My son drove one of our old vehicles that was pretty similiar. He didn't like it at all then but now that he has bought his own Limited edition 4Runner all of a sudden every tiny chip on the windshield breaks his heart (he has come to the conclusion those crappy car days were the days of few worries). He is 24 and worked his butt off in University studying and taking on 3 jobs, convocated, got a job in his profession and now I see him eyeing the dirt that mares his perfect shine with disgust ....he earned every single dollar to pay for it and by God nothing better happen to it (oh for the perfect world
. I'm sure, like the rest of us, he'll accept :happens: but oh how that first chip, ding, crack hurts when it's a new vehicle that was purchased with one's own money.
The gift of having to earn what one has is PRICELESS!
(I am his mother and I started this account to check out the forums for my own interest...he is perfectly capable of doing it himself, and he did do a lot of research before he purchased it, but having previously joined for my Rav4 I thought I'd like to see what was being said/done with the 4Runner).

If you don't know how, then you simply open a photo bucket account, upload pics there, then to the right, you'll have the direct link to the photo, copy that link, come back to this thread,click reply thread, paste the direcy link (or click on the yellow square with the mountain icon during your reply to this thread, and then paste the direct link to embed the photo in your reply).

Do you ever think that the guy is too busy making $$ that posting picture is not worth his time?
For a person that rich, every second is worth a lot and he probably doesn't want to waste his precious time just to post some pics just to convince some people.

For some odd reason this is the coolest post I've ever read on this forum.....maybe because it took me back to how I grew up and was able to buy my 4runner after college and a career, for whatever reason it gave me goosebumps. I remember the crappy car days, i'm 27 now. I now look back and cherish the moments I would drive my 88 honda accord to the gas station at 16 only to put 5 dollars in the tank that would last me that night of cruising or get me to baseball practice. Now I just swipe my debit card and put 80 bucks in without much care. Those simplistic days are what made growing up awesome.

Wouldn't it be funny if OP was actually a 23 year old kid with no life and wants to make himself feel good by "boasting" about the cars his "family" drives? Haha. I'd love to see pictures of all said cars in OP's sig. just to be assured that there is a 1% out there. My dad is in the top 2% in terms of how much he makes in the U.S., and he still bought me a v8 4th gen but told me I would have to be responsible and pay for future damages, and minor maintenance. My friend's dad is a player in the entertainment industry, and he asked my friend if he wanted a brand new BMW but my friend declined saying he didn't want a fancy car at an early age so his dad bought him a '98 caddy only as long his dad paid for repairs. My friend wholeheartedly deserves a BMW, but being the modest guy he is, he didn't want to flaunt his wealth. My dad would never drop stacks for every member in my family with 2011+ models of luxury cars. None of us deserves it. Love how OP edited his sig to make certain models stand out by using colors
