1st Post: 2009 V8 4th Gen or GX

I just called my dad about this thread.

@OP - My dad said he can relate to you when it comes to spoiling your kids, but he can't imagine buying 2011+ models of luxury brands for everyone in the family and he recommends you to punish your kids severely if they damage their cars. I'm 21 years old, and 2/4 of my friends have DUI. I surely hope your kids doesn't become a statistic when they go out joyriding after having few drinks (surprisingly enough, you can blow over the limit with 3-4 beer). Especially when speeding, cops will definitely do anything to screw your kids over if they smell alcohol and see the kids driving in expensive cars which they don't really deserve at an early age.

Uh aren't you the kid who totalled his 3rd gen on his daddy's insurance, and had daddy buy him a 4th gen? Sounds like quite the punishment :cry2:

For some odd reason this is the coolest post I've ever read on this forum.....maybe because it took me back to how I grew up and was able to buy my 4runner after college and a career, for whatever reason it gave me goosebumps. I remember the crappy car days, i'm 27 now. I now look back and cherish the moments I would drive my 88 honda accord to the gas station at 16 only to put 5 dollars in the tank that would last me that night of cruising or get me to baseball practice. Now I just swipe my debit card and put 80 bucks in without much care. Those simplistic days are what made growing up awesome.

Just got my ''best one yet'' being my 06 SR5.

Love every second of it. Some of those cars were pieces of _____ even though I loved them too! I could tell some funny stories bout them, but don't want to waste everyone's time.

Ever since I got into an accident, I made a thread asking what should I do with the 4R that's totaled or should my dad buy another 4th gen and this kid all of sudden he's all over on my D saying a bunch of crap that I would love to hear said to my face instead of behind the monitor screen. Too bad i can't add him to the blocked list where you can't see other users in the same thread as you if you blocked them.


I think he was dissing on the way I parked my 3rd gen. 4R (how do YOU PARK your 4R at school?) in 3rd gen forum, pretty sure he's the same guy who's constantly talking ****.

Hahaha I don't know who this other person is but you seem to rub lots of people the wrong way. I can't help but call out stupid **** people say. Lets get things straight though, this is the only other time I've responded to anything you've said.

Not to sound like an intelligent jackass here, but people do not suck! Maybe it's just me, but people who backs into other people's cars and does not leave a note with information on it are weaklings in my opinion and they should be severely punished for it! Unfortunately though, it's usually people of lower class who have really crappy cars that does not have great insurance or doesn't have insurance (aka uninsured motor vehicle, at least that's what it's called in the state of Virginia) in the first place so to avoid detection, they just drive away from the scene of the accident like pricks. Plus if you get into an accident and you're not insured, you're held liable for any damages caused to the other car


Did you park near any businesses? I bet if you parked super close to a store where they have security cameras with the zoom capability, you can ask the manager politely if they can go over the footage themselves (while you wait outside the door or something in case they're suspicious of your claims) to see if they can find the car with their plates showing that backed into you.

Someone backed into my mom's Z4 BMW a long time ago and I was the one driving it at the time. I parked near Wal-Mart (lol)'s front entrance where the cameras were pretty close by. I was very upset with what had happened because for starters, it's a BMW. BMW = crazy expensive price tags for parts. My mom trusted me with her BMW, and I was not about to come home and tell her that her BMW got damaged while I was in possession of it without proof. So because of that, I requested to speak with the security department whose head security was working at the time (thank god he was here). He sympathized with me realizing I was only 17 years old with zero experiences in accidents ( i had mixed feelings of anger and sadness at the time). He was able to identify the license plates when he reviewed the footage & burned it onto a disc for me to take it to the authorities. Needless to say, but I suspect Juwan will not leave the scene of an accident that he's involved in ever again!

This has totally gone out of topic. It's all started when some guy posted a question asking which car should he get for his son, then people all jump in telling the guy how he should raise and treat his son. After weeks of people trying to lecture a person they have never met, it's now ended up where two other random guys are fighting about personal issues they had before in some other random posts.

Crack, you're a little "punk" & a weakling. Sounds like you had a difficult time adjusting to the 'real world' when your parents kicked you out at 18 years old. My dad would never kick me or my brothers out of the house until we were ready to enter the real world. I'm still in college, I think I would rather attend classes, go to parties, thirsty thursdays, and come back during breaks. I am not sorry for having great parents, but I am also not sorry for your hatred, bitterness toward the people whose lives are a little bit easier with the assistance by parents throughout college. I guess you grew up faster than me, and that is okay. I would rather stay young and stupid while I still can. Go take a bong hit to ease that anger building up inside you.
