Hello all,

Just picked up my 2016 4Runner SR5 with 18K miles on it 3 weeks ago. Already loving this vehicle. Already did the TRD Intake, Updated NAV Map (cheap from eBay) and picked up a set of OEM Carpet mats since it didn't have any. It came with Husky All Season Map.

Came from a 2005 Nissan Xterra that we bought brand new in 2005 and drove it up to 186K miles where it was time to upgrade. We never had any real troubles, always trusted it and towed more thank 25K miles with it. Great vehicle but they discontinued it.

Big motorcyclist so this 4R will spend alot of time towing dirt bikes / track bikes to/from tracks. RMZ250, PW50, TTR50 and GSX-R 750

Do you typically trailer your toys or do you use one of the receiver carriers? I saw a receiver carrier on the highway the other day and the Runner he had it on was squatting pretty well.

Do you typically trailer your toys or do you use one of the receiver carriers? I saw a receiver carrier on the highway the other day and the Runner he had it on was squatting pretty well.

I use a trailer. I have a 5X8 that I have been using for years. I posted a pic on the "what have you done or did today" in the 5th gen section loaded with the kids dirt bikes and mine. I'll probably be upgrading soon to a bigger trailer now we 2 kids, wife and I all enjoying the dirt.

Before kids did alot of trackdays...just one trailer pic I had before I went full track prep / higher into the club. Second pic is hitting turn 2-3 on the old Beaverun Track before they expanded.

We may have gotten a rough day build one, many squeaks, rattles etc. went in a number of times almost immediately. Huh? Squatting? I've hauled my Triumph Daytona 675R to the track and my dirt bikes on a carrier. No issues.

Over the 186K...I went thru normal maintenance but I did the rad bypass so I never experienced the tranny SMOD. I replaced the Rad, full exhaust and cats, power steering cooler and 4 right front calipers...otherwise it was normal maintenance and didn't have any unusual noises or problems. Guess I had a wednesday build.

Nice ride i've always loved the 675's. Great looking and powerhouses for their sizes.

My track bike was my 03 R1, street is 09 GSXR 750 and dirt is 12 RMZ-250

Sweet. I currently have a 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1. I've had two different 2002s as well.
Currently I run my 2016 BMW S1000RR Premium on the track.

I swear they nailed the 02-03 r1. Such a perfect bike...limited mods required to handle like the best. I wish I still had mine. Out of all the bikes I’ve owned still best one

Great comfort on them. I traveled all over on them. Many 300+ mile days. If they had cruise control like my Beemer does I could ride those bikes ALL day.
I lost the last '02 R1 (and the Daytona) to deer strikes. :sobbing:

Welcome:hello:. Relative newbie myself; came from 2 XTerras back-to-back (and another XTerra many years before).

Same, swapped out the 14' Xterra PRO4X to the 18' 4Runner ORP.

Wow! That is exactly the way I went: '14 XTerra Pro-4X to an '18 TRD ORP! Had an '09 XTerra Off Road before that, and an '02 Supercharged long before that. I got the '14 because I was suspicious they'd be discontinuing them soon (finally did so in '15). While I was happy with both XTerras (no issues with the '09, minor issues with the '14), the truth is that I've always wanted to own a 4R but it was always more than I wanted to spend and I didn't want to go the used route. About 3.5 years into the '14, I noticed that the KBB value on it was $9.5k over what I owed on the original 6-year loan I got on it, and I decided that it would be a nice down payment on a new 4R.

nice upgrade lol. i was thinking about getting an xterra before i decided on the 4runner. something about the look of both made it a hard decision to pick what to get lol
