2.7 thermostat change question.

It's "summer" here in Washington. I am bored and hunting for a project and decided I should change my thermostat. I have no clue what age/temp/condition it's in. So I looked around for a few minutes now and it doesn't appear the temp is listed.

What temp is the factory thermostat? My local parts stores have aftermarket ones in the 180* variety or a 170* only. Does anyone have insight on what the factory temp is?

I will also be replacing the hoses while I'm at it.

Oh an before someone says "just use OEM" my dealer wants $54 for a thermostat and $14 for the gasket. **** that, they even have to order it. I wanted to do this before a drive tomorrow in 90* heat.

Factory is 180, stant makes a good thermostat for the RZ

Got it, thank you. I picked up a Murry from Oreillys versus duralast at Autozone tonight. New lower hose, I already replaced the upper when I did my header/cai install and it touched the air box.

Looked around today and got a stant thermostat. Had no jiggle valve at all. Then found a premium model with the valve for double the cost. Either way.. installing once the damn thing cools down a bit
