2.7 timing chain help

Hello

I had to replace the head. I just got it back on and in the book it says something about matchmark the chain to the gear. I think I should of check where the mark on the gear was to the chain. I'm at TDC and have the two cams gear marks aligned. I thought there was a mark on the chain but that make not be a mark. So am I ok?

I, too, have a 4 cylinder and have never delved so far into any engine to replace a timing chain/belt. I was curious to know whether or not you got an answer to your question.

My 2.7 is stock, but I replaced the auto transmission filter/fluid/gasket and added a remote cooler which is a popular modification for the third genners. I put some 'seafoam' brand throttle body intake cleaner into the TB while the engine was running to burn off any built up carbon a month ago.
