2 questions about a mysterious piece that came with my 2017

Now check your dash at night time. Many people have complained because the switch backlighting is green while the rest of the dash lights are blue...

It's a dealer/port add on. looks funky because now you have 2 sets of daytime running lights with different color bulbs. To each their own though.

Yes they are a dealer installed option. My dealer wants 499.00 installed. I am thinking of getting a set. Also you can buy them aftermarket. Here is the link for them.

DRL are mandatory in Canada. Suppose to increase visibility to oncoming traffic.

I did it myself. If you follow the video to a T, it will be really easy. The kit comes with everything you need, including the quick splice connectors. Trust me when I say I can do it, anyone can do it. I'm the guy who usually ends up paying someone else to fix my bubba work.

Now with that said, your OEM fogs with just a LED bulb will be brighter (as in blind everyone on the road), than the 2 in 1 LED fogs. THE 2 in 1 led fogs just look cooler in my opinion, and has a very good cutoff so you don't blind everyone on the road.

The DRL button on the dash is for the optional 2-1 LED DRL/Fog lights. It is completely independent of the OEM DRL that use the high beams on low power.

Mine has it and I love it. I don't use the OEM DRL just the LED ones
