was thinking of bedlineing my bumpers and the whole bottom portion,,,anybody able to recomend a bedliner something that stays black and isnt 150 bucks? pictures?

yeah i thought so aswell but there website says gallons and there about 150 a gallon....love the monstaliner but its a little pricey..

would 1 quart cover that much though?

I think 1 quart would be enough to do both sides, but not sure about the bumpers as well. Depends on how high you want to come up the sides.
Another thing to consider... After you get your first coat on, whatever is mixed but not used will start to skin over and thicken up. This is great if you are going after a very textured look. But if you want a relatively smooth finish, the thinner you can lay the coats on the better. My suggestion would be to order 2- 1 quart kits and apply them individually as each coat. Apply the first quart as the first coat on what you want to cover and use it all up. Let that sit just until its no longer tacky and then mix up the second quart.
If you go with a gallon kit, you can do a solvent float on the unused portion while the first coat is setting up... But I found that the solvent float did not work well in my situation. It was very humid here when I did mine, though.

You can always put on more than 2 coats.
And keep in mind... With the bedliner, thick is in. Its not paint where you want multiple thin coats. You cant really put the bedliner on to thick.

I used rustoleum on the bumper/grill and it's okay. I covered it with a coat of enamel to give it the shine and uv protection, though.

how many cans to do what you did? i just picked up 2 15 oz rattle cans for the rims....

Two of those cans did the grill and the chrome part of the bumper completely. I did 3 coats of each with a self etching primer under it.

Which Tint do you use? We used beige and are not happy with the results. it looks yellow.
