So Im pretty sure my ujoints are bad. its got 185,000 miles and clunks when I put it in Drive. also has a zipping sound at 30 mph, worse at 50. I have been reading that people are replacing entire Driveshaft. Can't I just knock out the ujoints and instal new ones on shaft......I went under the truck last night & It looks pretty simple enough to remove the whole thing....also, do I need to buy a new seal that goes into tranny? or will the shaft log just slip out and go back in?
