2000 4Runner lift questions

Hey guys, I am brand new to this forum and brand new to working on cars. I'm 18 and this is my first car. I have a 2000 sr5 and I really want a new lift and tires. I know that I want a 3" lift and 285 tires maybe..??? But I was wondering what kind of rear lift I should get? I'm pretty set on getting a set of Bilstein coilovers for the front and not really sure what all I need for the rear. If I got Bilstein rear shocks, would I need springs too!? And if there is anything else I would need for a lift, please tell me I'm brand new to this. Thanks!!

Thank you Monty that thread helped a lot. Maybe a stupid question... Do I need both the rear shocks and springs for a 3" lift!?

Springs will do the lifting, stock shocks won't last long or ride well at 3" of lift. Before you lift make sure the truck is up to date on maintenance like LBJ, etc.

If you want good ride and most flex in the rear go with lc 7 wraps and lc tokico shocks. Oem ride. Most flex. 3.5-4" lift. It will give a rake since 3" front lift is most possible on IFS In most situations. Lowered bump stops, extended rear brake line and sway bar lift brackets or disconnects recommended. Adjustable rear pan hard bar wouldn't hurt.

I've been researching a bit and can't really find the lc coils as easily. I want to keep Bilstein or toytec all around if possible... How would 890 ome coils work with Bilstein shocks in the rear? And would that be a good option with the front coilovers from them!? If anyone has a set up similar please give advise!!

They are the stock front coils from a 1996 land cruiser. If you research you can find part #s. I won't recommend ome in rear as everyone that's got ome and wheeled with me wants to upgrade to my coils as I out flex them everytime.

Will they give me a 3" lift in the rear?? And should I get the 7 wraps?
