2000 Avalon rear door latch seized!

three of four doors are functioning normal (power and manual methods). noticed on one rear door that the actuator is trying to unlock the latch, but latch won't budge. same with handle, which can only be pulled part ways. dismantled the door panel burst i could without being able to open the door. unhooked the handle cable, used heavy pliers to pull, but would not budge. have spurted liquid wrench in through the door cavity and onto the latch by the weatherstripping a couple of time. so far, no release. a shop mentioned ,m of course, that it was seized, probably due to lack of use as it was not used for about a year and was stored outdoors.

any suggestions?!

i'm thinking the latch is somehow either broken or has detached from something. all other doors work smoothly and de-latch with minimal effort. can't find a way to access the latch itself. don't think i can unbolt the mechanism from within the door cavity.
