2000 Limited key fob issue

Purchased a HYQ1512Y compatible key fob off Amazon and followed programming instructions. The fob was programmed but only unlocked the doors, lock wouldn't do anything, and window button non responsive too.

Followed the programming instructions to clear all stored fobs amd reprogrammed the fob. Now lock and unlock work but the window button activates the alarm.

Anyone run in to this issue before?

Got mine off Ebay, same issue, Locks unlocks but window sets off alarm.

Looking to get a OEM , but honestly its not that big of deal to me, I just drop the window once I kick it over,

Hmmm, thank you for that info. That thread came up in my searches but I didn't read the whole thing. The info about the window button alarm was on the last pages. Makes sense though. The problem fob I ordered looks like the correct piece shown in the Toyota TSB, but the item description lists being compatable with a few different FCC IDs.

I am going to attempt to re-re- program my Amazon sourced fob tomorrow to see if it takes. But I was able to find refurbished Toyota OEM fobs for $40. I'll order one of those in case my cheapo fob still doesn't work.
