2000 runner wont start

Hi everybody I'm new to the forum my name is Brett and I'm from Gilbert, AZ

Okay so I have a 2000 4runner that I just replaced the 5v-fe in due to it melting two pistons for no reason. Well now I have the new engine in and hooked up correctly but it will not start no matter what. The motor turns over and cranks but wont start. The motor is getting fuel and build fuel pressure. If I put starter fluid in the intake it will pop and sound like knock and try to start but then dies immeadiatly. The battery and fuel filter are brand new. Any help would be appreciated.

First thing is first, is your firing order correct?

Well I checked for spark and its nit getting any spark so I'm going to see if there any codes tomorrow

Not sure if it could be related to the ECU or not in this case, but I've seen this happen before. It was on [MENTION=25058]ChildrenOfBodom[/MENTION] 's 1st gen. It would crank and try to turn over on the ECU it already had. He swapped it with one from a buddy's pickup and it fired right up. But if its not firing because theres no spark then I doubt that could be it. Just figured I'd share. Good luck man.

Okay sweet thank you. I'm leaning near the ecu myself but we will see when I pull the codes

Pulled the codes got a p0100 which is Max and a p0110 which is iat and a p1300 which is ignitor malfunction so I am going to try a new used ignitor since they are.pretty pricey

I also got 5.01 volts at the ecu where the ignitor goes in so I'm almost positive its bad any reading of 4.5-5.5v is a bad ignitor
