2000 Taillight in a 2002

Ok guys, I have a small problem. I got some kickass taillights for my 2002, but the taillight are design for a 2000, and of course they are slightly different. The brake lights and the backup lights are the wrong size, and I will ether need to get a 2000 taillight harness kit or try to mod the thing myself. I could use some help on this one! I love the lights, and would like to work this out, but I have no idea what a taillight harness would cost.
Can you guys give me your options on what I should do?
