2001 4 Runner Turn Signal Switch

Can someone please point me in the right direction!!


I am trying to replace the turn signal switch; getting the cover OFF has been a MAJOR pain in the ARSE just to get to it. Does anyone know how to get to the switch. I see 2 screws of which are DIRECTLY behind the steering wheel!


I need help ASAP. Thanks guys!!

Lol, yup. Turn steering wheel 90*, remove screws, remove lower screw, pop off panels, 2 screws for the switch, done.

The turn signal switch interchanges with most other Toyotas from the time (Camry, Sienna, etc.) so you have lots of choices.

The headlight/turn signal switch changed in 2000. 2000 and up are less interchangeable with other Toyotas. I found out the hard way... interestingly, the same switch carried over into the 4th gen 4runners
