Hi, has anyone had this problem? It's starting to drive me and my neighbors nuts. :redbrick: Every night around 11:00 it does this rapid beep and the alarm will go off for no reason other times. I've tried putting the red button on the dash in both positions. Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm fine with disabling the alarm entirely if that's an option.

Have you tried unhooking the negative battery terminal to get it to reset? Mine had issues sort of like that and resetting it helped. I left mine disconnected for a minute.

Try hitting it with a hammer. If that doesn't fix it, you've probably got an electrical problem.

mine does the same thing, haven't been able to fix it either, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread.
No, I'll try that. Come to think of it, the problem went away for a few months after I replaced my battery. Maybe I just need to reset it every now and then.

My cell phone sets off my alarm sometimes if i leave it in the truck. Good times.

Just started noticing this as well. Not always at night (but mostly) not every night, sometimes 3 honks and I just heard 5-6 in quick succession.
Any insight is appreciated.

Mine still works perfectly.
OP, do you have any mice hanging out in the engine bay? Check your wiring for teeth marks, shorts.

I had a problem with my factory alarm system going off randomly.
Someone here asked if I had recently installed one of those Driving Recorders car insurance companies have you plug in your OBD port for a period of time to see if you are eligible for a better rate. In fact, I had. Unplugged it and no more alarm issues.

I guess for some peace & quite tonight for you and the neighbors you could disconnect both LH & RH Horns at the connector, your Anti-Theft Horn and the alarm. That way no one will hear a thing... In the mean time:
When this goes off, do you have to manually shut it off or does it go off by itself??? Below is a link to the 'symptoms chart'. You would have to troubleshoot all 8 systems under the first 'Suspect Area', a massive undertaking. When you say you turn the system 'off' by the red button yet it stills comes on, I would suspect the Body ECU has gone south. Hope this helps somewhat anyways...luck with it...!!

Same problem with my 1997 T4R SR5. The alarm sounds 5 rapid beeps every day at 12:38 PM like clockwork. Fortunately, it does not really bother anyone. But that might change after I upgrade to the "El Grande" horns, and I am curious if the beeps are an indicator of something I should fix.
Also had random false alarms that I tracked to the hood sensor. After 20 years, the hood does not close quite as tight as before and the sensor (switch) was just barely registering the hood was closed. Raised the sensor position slightly and have not had a problem with false alarms since.
