2001 4runner issue - please help

So I need some help. I have a 2001 4runner. It started running really rough. I took it to the auto parts store and the diagnostic said it was an issue with the one and four cylinder. I changed the spark plugs and the coil. It is running much better but anytime I stop at a light it nearly shuts off and I have to rev it up to prevent it from stalling out. I took it back to the store and the diagnostic still says its the four cylinder. Any guesses on what the problem is and what I should try next?

either a fuel delivery problem (injector) to that cylinder, or major issues with the cylinder. You should run a compression test on that cylinder to rule out loss of compression (easiest and cheap test) if good compression, move the #4 injector to another cylinder and see if the problem follows it, if yes, replace injector.

good luck!

Sounds like a vaccume leak. If you blip (small blip 100-200rpm) the throttle from idle does the car have a hard time keeping an idle?
