2001 SR5 Stuttering Fixed but CE Light Stays On

I have a 2001 SR5 with 209k miles on it and about a year ago it started stuttering under acceleration which turned out to be an ignition coil going bad. The same thing happened this year and I replaced it again but also replaced the spark plugs with NGKs and installed new wires. When I did this it ran fine but the check engine light is still on along with the VSC Trac and VSC Off lights.

I had autozone check the code and they said it was because my spark plugs were not gapped correctly. However according to where I bought them they came pregapped.

Secondly when driving if I let off the gas and press it again the car will rev around 500rpm then shift a gear every time.

Any thoughts to why my check engine light might still be on? I'd rather not go pay hundreds to get the car fixed again if it is something I can do myself.

I noticed recently that it seems to still have a slight misfire as well when cruising at highway speeds. I didn't hear it any other time and it is very subtle as you can not hear it unless the music is off.

Got it diagnosed today it is a bad catalytic converter, i'm not paying the $3400 to have it fixed by the dealer. What are my options?
