2002 4Runner 4 wheel drive light blinking

Hey Guys,
I have a 2002 4Runner SR5 that has a blinking light when i put it into 4wheel drive. It seems to engaged but doesnt stop blinking, and then it wont come out of 4 wheel drive. I have read a ton of posts on this issues and they all state the its a bad transfer switch solenoid on the front differential. I have looked all over the front and can not find this selenoid switch, but all posters state they are driving a 99 4 runner not a 2002. I read one post that stated the 2001 and 2002 4 runners are different.

Any ideas as to where the switch is on a 2002? i see two switches on the rear/top of the rear transfer case but not sure if they are the ones causing the light to flash and which one is the bad one.

Any help would be AWSOME!

could you be more detailed.. are you referring to the 4WD button on the shifter and the blinking in the dashboard that shows 4 wheels in green color with redsh center. a picture or a video will help

I've been chasing this problem forever.

01-02 DOES NOT have a switch on the front ADD diff.

We have 4 on the TC. 2 on the rear (easy to get) and two on the driver side top (annoying, can go through the cabin or cut some tools and go from underneath).

Test all 4 switches with a ohm meter first (there are writeups for this), fix or replace them.

Test your rear and front actuators with 12v to see if you can get them to manually engage.
