Well the abs sensor for the speed level of that part of the circuit goes to the locker ecu.. Most folks andy mod it. So the speed isn't an issue for the locker activation by putting it on the a switch or grounding it I believe. You can search for the andy mod locker information on the internet for that information.

It's fixed! It had a broken wire in the body harness, not at the section I initially suspected was melted (it wasn't). Very hard to find but the shop found it after a ton of probing. It also burned out the solder joint again on the cluster but was fixed again and now that there isn't a short it should be good to go for the long term.

There you go.. Yes should be good for another 25 years. This is why you check from end point to end point on wires.. Sometimes, it will be an issue along somewhere else in the wire.. With the age of 3rd gens. It could literally be anywhere. Glad you are fixed up again.

Thanks again for all your help! I'm an idiot with wiring but I still learned a lot and maybe in 25 years when it happens again, I can find it myself now lol!
