2002 T4R - Where can I buy this part?

Hi all,

I'm brand new to this forum. I'm hopeful that you may be able to point me in the right direction. What is this part called? Where would be a good place to purchase it?

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly... is this difficult for a novice to replace on his own? I don't even know which is the first screw / bolt to un connect.

The turn signal? its easy to replace the unit itself is like 40 bucks though kind of a rip off. Its very easy just two screws on the back side of it and it just pops out and installation is reverse order of that.

Rockauto.com has the part and so should your local toyota dealer.

eBay has it too, it will be aftermarket, but probably cheaper.

Many of us (including myself) don't bother with OEM signals. There are aftermarket clear ones that many tend to consider an upgrade.

Thank you for the many responses. Very helpful for an automotive Noob like me.

I checked out RockAuto.com. I don't really understand which model I should purchase.

Although the clear turn signals look really great, I guess my goal is to fix just the one broken turn signal. To be honest, I'm afraid of my own compulsive personality, if I started to upgrade various parts of my car!

On the RockAuto website, there is a wide range of products offered... some are $6, some are $35. Are they really comparable parts?

I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction. Which one should I get, if my goal is to match what was factory installed?

None of those seem to be OEM units. You'll get what you pay for when it comes to aftermarket lights so I don't suggest going with the $6 one. Once again, if you want 2 basically new OEM front blinkers, left and right, let me know

When they say "Front Right Blinker," is "Right" from the driver's perspective, or from the perspective of someone looking at the car?

RH would be the passenger side, and LH would be the drivers side - in other words, from the driver's perspective.

It's called a tail finish panel or any other bas****ized version of such. I used B&R auto wrecking to order the same piece last week. All those auto wrecking sites with the request form never responded but the setup of this site is great: Autowrecking.com - B & R Auto - Late Model Car and Truck Parts. Just keep in mind I still haven't received the part (only been a few days) so I can't comment on anything other than customer service and their website. So far I'm impressed, I just hope the part is as described!

Thank you everyone, for your replies. You have been extremely helpful. At the risk of taking advantage of your generosity, I thought I would ask another question...

This bulb on my dash has gone out...

Under Instrument Panel/ Cluster and switches/ Bulb /

there are the following options:
1.12 watt, 1.4 watt, 2.0 watt, 3.0 watt.

So my questions are three fold:

1) How can I find out which bulb is the correct bulb?

2) Is it difficult to disassemble the instrument panel / console?

3) Is there a good tutorial or walk through that might show a total noob where to begin? (I figure while I'm at it, I might as well get a new stereo)

Replacing those bulbs is a relatively simple job. Pull the e-brake, open the center console lid, pull up on the cup holder plastic (will pop out, held in by a few clips) and keep working your way up to the dash piece. They're all connected with tabs, so all you need to do is give them a good tug and they'll pop off.

For the turn signal... Part Detail

For the bulb, it's an LED, don't remember the size. Search for threads because I had my DRIVE light on the dash go out and was going to replace that until I smacked the top of the dash and it came back on!
