2003 4Runner manual

I've recently bought a 2003 SRS 4Runner and thinking of
purchasing the repair manuals listed in owners manual.
My dealer said these publish numbers are not in his
computer. Wondering if anyone has ordered these and how
much they cost.

Instead of re-inventing the wheel, I'll steer you in the right direction.
Go to the main page of this website. Look for the "Maintenance" forum and enter it. You should see something like "2003 Shop Manuals" or something of the sort by Thai. He explains the correct manual numbers and where to purchase them. They're also for sale on Ebay as well as from Lou Fusz Toyota in St. Louis, 1-800-325-9581. Tell the guys in parts that "Jon in Italy" sent you. I always buy my MR2 parts from them and they have great service.

i bought mine from this guy for only $80.00 ... sorry but it seems that everyone wants em now that everyone has a 4runner!

good luck but i'd say $115.00 or so on ebay is way cheaper than $100 per volume ($200 for both 1 & 2 - stealer price!)

This guy on ebay is legit :) so no worries. Also vol 1 and 2 are the v8 version. there are also a vol 3 and 4 but i think 3 is the v6 and the 4 is the supplemental stuff (not sure exactly) but something like that.

Everything you need for a v8 is in vol 1 & 2.

This is my first toyota,and I do my own maintenance on my
trucks(s).the other being a Chevy.
Good times,I went to ebay and checked that out.
I have the 4.0 v/6 and not sure if they cover both.
I guess I could e-mail and find out.
anybody know?

Jon, just curious, are you Italian or are you working abroad? I lived in Bologna for a few years in the 80s'.

i believe if you need the v6 engine svc manual u need the vol 3/4 one.

vol 1 just has diagnostic stuff
vol 2 is all body/engine(v8) (which everyone needs)

now I know there is a vol3 and 4 but i dunno which is which.

one of em is:
v6 engine

the other one is supplemental stuff that was left out on vol 1 and 2.

so if you own a v6 i think you need all 4.

everyone needs vol 1
everyone needs vol 2 only for the body parts

...
but i know someone can confirm this.

Thanks for asking but I'm 100% American born and bred. I'm originally from Cape Girardeau, MO and am serving our fine country abroad at Aviano AB, Italy. My wife and I moved here a little over a year ago from Misawa AB, Japan. It was quite a culture shock going from one tour to another. We'll be ready to come back to the States in '05 when my tour's up.

Just a little about me...I haven't detected any terrorist notions amongst any of the forum members so far so I'll go ahead and disclose my background...I'm a Logistics Readiness Officer in the USAF working at the Air Mobility Command aerial port here at Aviano AB....if you all are keeping up with the war in Iraq, you may have heard about the 173 AB Brigade jumping into Northern Iraq in late March. All 63 C-17 missions flew out of here, 14.5M lbs of cargo and over 2k Bubba's. Needless to say, we were busier than one-armed paper hangers for two weeks making sure the cargo was airworthy and airlifted out on time.:D

That's the skinny on me.

It was so emotional when I watched yesterday the statue coming down in Baghdad and the joy and appreciation of the Iraqi people to our military.
