2003 4Runner Sport - XREAS

So I had my car in Merchants this weekend for emissions and safety inspection and they said my rear shocks were leaking and they wanted to replace them with KYB, but didn't mention anything about the XREAS system. I am guessing they are not familiar with it and just wanted to change out my shocks without seeing the XREAS system?

So here is the question, if they are leaking, from what I read, should I have the XREAS system removed and replace all 4 on the vehicle? Or can I find shocks that accomodate the XREAS system and have them replaced?

I have 73k miles.
