2003 SR5 4.0L V6 Exhaust question

So my resonator (the last bulge in the exhaust towards the exhaust tip) is mostly crushed and I was thinking of removing it altogether. Are there any reasons why I shouldn't do so? Will it effect my emissions or power? And finally, how much louder will it make the exhaust (if at all)?

I cut mine off and deleted. added a tail piece and exited out the side right behind the tire. Doesn't effect anything and the sound doesn't change ...the only effect it has is no more rotten egg smell :thumb:

I cut mine off at the weld right behind the resonator and left it as is. There is a slight difference in sound but no negative effects.
