2005 4 runner

I am thinking of purchasing a 2005 4 runner and am curious about something i heard. I heard that they require alot of upkeep & maintenance and it is expensive is that correct? i might possibly be getting one and would like to make sure i could afford it as i might be having to do it alone. I am in southern california.

They don't require anything special..... just the normal oil changes that any other car/truck needs. The only other upkeep necessary is a wash now and then to preserve that show room shine. That's of course optional, but I like my truck to be shiny.

Just put 200-500 in the bank each year for general maintenance costs and you will be fine: but overall it cost nomore then any other japanese import

If you can afford a brand new 4Runner, I'm sure you can afford the maintenence

Not sure where you got your info, but the 4R requires no more maintenence than any other new SUV/truck.....

The 4Runner just needs your standard maintenance, nothing special. The most important thing to do for your truck is to change the oil every 3,000-5,000 miles. Here is the guidelines that Toyota puts out for maintenance on their models. Make sure you go to the trucks section for the 4Runner.
