2005 Sulfur TSB done

I recently had the TSB done on my '05 Sport w/V8 and there is a slight smell, but I believe this may be due to the new cat. One thing that I did notice that my gas mileage improved by 2.1 gals. per mile (according to the in-dash display).

My dealer gave me a loaner car during the repairs, this may be partly due to the parts being on back order. They had my 4Runner for 4 days.

From reading the differents threads regarding helpfulness of the dealers, it seems that taking a printed copy of the TSB with you is your best bet. This is what I did and it worked great.

I'm sorry to report that my T4R is in the shop for the Sulphur TSB.

I have noticed it on and off for a while. I told the service manager that I knew of the TSB and that I was within the VIN# range of those affected.

They ordered the parts last week and I went in yesterday.

In the process of removing the front cats they broke off a stud and have to order a part to fix it. (I think they broke a stud in the manifold and just don't want to tell me)

For a loaner I have a beautiful new GM AVEO. (This does not qualify as a car)

I can't wait to get my 4R back!
