2005 TPMS light won't go off

Is there a preset psi the system is set for? I have 32 psi as the sticker on the door in all 5 tires. But the light will not go off. From what I've read, if it's a solid light it's a psi thing. If the light is blinking, their may be an issue with one of the sensors. Well the lights solid so it must be psi. So I'm wondering if the system has a minimum it needs to be at. Thanks for the help

Stupid autocorrect. Can a mod change the title
To tpms. Not toms.

Might need to drive around to get the sensors to wake up now that they are properly inflated. If you have techstream use it to check the sensor readings. If the light does not go out I would deflate each tire rapidly 6lbs then bring back up to pressure if light is still on check the connection to the TPMS unit by the kick panel.

2005 toms light won't go off

I had the same issue, as have others on the forum. All 5 tires were well within spec, yet the light was on solid. I have a feeling that a tire tech may have damaged or removed one of the sensors during a tire swap.
There's a way to kill the light by jumping it on the TPMS unit, which is what I did. A forum search should find the method.

Oh, and even if it were functioning properly, TPMS wouldn't help me because I need to deflate the oversized spare to get it to fit under the truck anyway now.

Ha. It was a bad gauge. I went around with a better gauge and corrected the pressures. As soon as I started it, the light went off. Thanks all :)

Amazing batteries in those 5 radios... I'm at 11 years old and they still work.
I've been waiting on the light-off mod until one quits.

My 05 had the same issue. I checked all 5 tires and still the light was on. I just chalked it up to the TPMS having bad batteries and did the disable mod. Back to basics and checking them like always with a pressure gauge.
