2006 4Runner Engine Shutting Off While Driving

Curious about the need to drop the tank to access the fuel pump. According to the attached pdfs, I see a mention of a "rear floor service hole cover by removing the rear carpet". Is this not present in all 4th gen runners?

sounds like alternator going out..

Im surprised its the CPS.. I have not heard many issues. on the 4runner
