2006 Explorer gets better V8

Just traded my 02 Explorer Limited for 05 T4R Limited. Life long Ford guy, still happy with my 97 F250 LD (looks like F150 still) The Explorer has issues with door seals buzzing at hwy speed when hot outside. Before I hit 50,000 miles I had to replace both driver THEN passengers seatbelt pre-tenstioners, over 300.00 EACH side with good guy discount, I replaced the 2nd one myself to save 125.00 in labor, took about 40 min. I replaced a motor in the rear AC/heater box (blend air door actuator I think) not hard, but did it myself to again save 200.00 of labor on a 50.00 part, Seems like as soon as 36,000 miles comes, more problems pop out. I will see for myself how many problems (if any) I have with the 4runner by 50,000 miles - I just may be a convert!

I'm pushing 40k miles with my 2003 V8. Have not had to take it in for anything, and I tow & run it in pretty hot temps.

(although, in full disclosure, I should mention the previous owner had the drivers seat worked on or replaced)
