Hey all,
I finally had the chance to take a pic of my fiance's 2006 Highlander. It is the base V6 2wd model in Salsa Red Pearl with a few notable options: side-curtain airbags (with rollover protection), towing prep package (including auto tranny cooler), JBL single CD audio system, steering wheel audio control, rear privacy glass, and DRL's. Total out-the-door price (including tax, tag, title) was $27,500.
It's a very nice quiet ride. The steel rims actually look attractive (relatively speaking). The ride is soft and very comfortable...however, there is some "floating" over big humps. Acceleration is good. Interior room is excellent with lots of nooks & crannies. Stability is excellent thanks to car platform and all the electronic nannies (VSC, TRAC, Brake Assist).
