2006 Runner Sport - Rear Wiper Replacement

It is time to replace the rear wiper blade and was wondering if there is a replacement blade for the rear window. Is there an aftermarket brand such as Bosch or PIAA for the rear blade?

I don't recall the size on my 4th gen rear wiper but on my previous 2nd and 3rd gen, I didn't want to pay the $$ for the Toyota blade. I would buy a pair of 13" refills (which you can hardly find refills anymore), cut one to size and then melt the frame at the end opposite the clip to prevent the blade from sliding off. Worked for me for over 15 years. I've yet to replace the one on my 4th gen.

I did the same thing recently. That is the first time I ever replaced that wiper in the 6 years of ownership.
I bought a 14 inch replacement wiper blade. Removed the rubber from the whole contraption and cut it down to size. Slipped the original rubber off the OEM arm and took the 2 metal stiffeners off the sides of it and placed them on the new rubber. Then I just slid the new rubber onto the old arm. Cost me under $5 at Wally World. I'm sure its a hell of a lot cheaper than trying to get one from Toyota. Works great!

What's up with the rear wiper? Is there a trick to pulling it away from the window? I can only pull mine out a few inches from it's resting place. It makes it hard for cleaning/waxing/changing blades etc.?? Am I missing something obvious?

The rear wiper blade only cost $4.00 from Toyota so just buy one.

no the wiper arm doesn't move outward very much.

If you take the plastic cap off were it pivots it will swing out like normal. It just pops off.
