I'll try again here. Has anyone taken the crossbars off their 2006 Sport roof rack? This rack is different from all other roof racks. Thought the dealer could help but the guy there told me they get the Sports with the bars already in place. All other models they pop the rear caps and slide the bars in. I note that the caps on the Sport rack also seem to have a torx bolt holding the caps in place. I loosened that but the rear cap did not seem to want to budge. On the other models the cap flips up so you can slide the bar in or out but the Sport is a different design. Even called about getting a shop manual but was told it comes in 4 different volumes each about $120. Don't want to know that badly! Anyone done this?
