No they do not, at least not in the diff assembly in the traditional sense. We have several layers of traction control. Also have ATRC when in 4low that acts like a limited slip.

No 4th gens have a limited slip diff.

So you do not need gear oil with the additive.

That's what i thought. When i called the dealership they were asking me 101 questions. I said its a 2006 4runner, what do you need to know. I wanted a quote on how much to get diff fluid changed. I can do it myself but sometimes feel lazy.

Our transfer case are torsen. But its a gear based diff so no friction modifiers are necessary.
