2006 XSP Seat Restoration/Upgrade Options

Hi guys,

I own a 2006 XSP 4Runner with the special edition grey suede leather XSP seats. The front seats are a bit worn.

I'm exploring options to restore or upgrade these front seats. I've considered an automotive upholstery shop, seat covers (oem/aftermarket), etc.

I was hoping to get some ideas from you guys.

Do you know if the XSP suede leather is just a seat cover and interchangeable with other covers from the 03-09 model?

Ideally, someone would just offer some really nice leather seat covers that would wrap around my existing seat guts.

My understanding is that the 06 XSP seats are merely powered SR-5 seats so, yes, they should be interchangeable. That said, I have heard that the sport edition seats are a bit different, so you might want to consider that.

The seats are the SR5 seats. I would just replace/recover the seats. Find a local installer of Katzkin Leather. It is really good. You should have an installer somewhat close to you that does the installs for the local dealers or add or replaces leather in cloth cars.
