So this happened 2 months ago... I took it to a mechanic and he reset all my codes... No problems until now. My VSC track light, check engine light, and slip warning lights are all on. The first time this happened...the mechanic found nothing wrong but did mention a possible gas cap issue?? Can anyone help me?? Thank you!

Saw this in another thread. Guy had a similar issue and replaced the brake pedal switch. Do search, don't quote me on it please. My memory is terrible, just ask my wife...

Get a mechanic or an auto parts store to pull the codes. Then research what those codes correspond to. They're tripping for a reason so don't just reset and pretend it's fixed. Post up here with the code(s) when you get them and we'll try to help.

I had the same issue, it is my experience that every time my engine light comes on, the VSC TRAC lights both come on. Once I resolved the Engine light issue (O2 Sensor) the mechanic clear the code but the VSC TRAC stayed on. They are tons of info and complaints in regards to the VSC TRAC light on situation within our community. After tons of reading I read that the OBDII code reader actually causes the VSC TRAC lights to come on. Upon further research I read about the Zero-Point Calibration. This was the only way I was able to clear it out, super fast and easy. Here is a visual in how to do this:

But remember that as long as your Engine light is on, the VSC TRAC light will also stay on. I would make sure you take care the Engine light issue first. If the light is on, the OBDII reader should be able to see a code.

It can be caused by a number of issues. Instead of just clearing the codes, write down what the codes are, then research what they mean.
The only time it's happened to me it was due to a "gross evaporative leak" and with a little searching this meant that my gas cap wasn't working. No matter how many clicks I tightened the cap, it still threw the code. So I replaced the gas cap with an aftermarket, reset the codes, and the problem was solved.

My 07 had a bad gas cap when it was purchased but we didn't know that. Every time I got gas the lights would turn off then turn back on when the cap got lose again. I didn't realize how bad the cap was until the new one was on there. The lights haven't turned on since then.
Lights are off because you disconnected the battery. You need to have the codes pulled.
