2007 4Runner floor liners

I am looking at getting floor liners for my wifes 2007 4Runner. What are you guys using for the most carpet coverage? I am getting Husky X-acts and Weathertechs for my Tundra but I haven't looked into it for the 4Runner. Thanks

Love my weathertechs. My only gripe is that I've got the "double decker" feature in the cargo area and because of this the cargo liner is a little "ill fitting" - but overall I love the protection and peace of mind it provides. Weathertechs FTW!
 
I have the WeatherTechs in my 06 and have been happy with them. I don't have the double deck in the rear and the cargo mat fits perfectly. My only disappointment is that although they did provide a flat space over the tie-down locations, they did not provide openings, so you have to cut openings in the mat if you need access to the tie-downs.
 
Ok, I'll be the voice of dissent. I'm ready for the bashing that ensues. I'm a Husky guy. They have worked great for a really long time. I recently picked up a set of the Weathertech Floorliners, thinking I would "upgrade" and only kept them in my truck for a couple of weeks before I went back to the Huskies.

Let me elaborate. The weathertechs look awesome. I've always lusted after them. The fit perfectly and captured all the crap just like the huskies do. Here's where they are inferior in my opinion:

I live in a very sandy place and my floor liners get about a 1/4 cup of sand deposited into them every week or so. The weathertechs are so stiff that pulling them out to dump them, even after I slide my seats all the way back, always manage to spill some sand into the floor board. The huskies aren't as rigid. With that added flex I can just reach in, not move the seat anywhere, fold it over a bit, pull it out and dump it with absolutely no spillage. Much faster and more convenient. Plus the lip on the Husky liners is even a bit taller so the dirt and crud has less of a chance of coming out anyway.

I still love the way the weathertechs look, however, I've always been a function over fashion kind of a guy and in my opinion the Husky is the winner.

Hmmm... Well, I'm certainly not going to bash you for what you prefer. I will say that I too, get a lot of sand and other mysterious "stuff" (due to my three small children) on my Weathertechs, but I definately have no issues with them being too "stiff" to get them out without spilling anything. Maybe I just have a different method of getting them out, I don't know. But, hey, to each, his/her own!
 
I have both Weather's in the 4Runner and Husky's in the wife's Matrix and for me the winner is WeatherTechs. We go to the beach a lot, less clean up in the 4runner due to the better fit of the mats.
 
I have the husk liner classics only because I got a deal on them. I personally would go with the weathertechs for they're fit and finish but I haven't seen the newer style huskys in person.

The husky classics may be better if you plan on heavy mud/sand/snow in the car because they have a deep lip but this is my second vehicle with these and this time I wouldn't have bought them if they weren't such a steal.
 
My 07 came with Weathertech, and I have to recommend. only issue being sand sometimes get between the liner and door. but it is windy out on the OBX, so maybe I just need to keep my doors closed...
 
I have husky in the front and nothing in the back, that's how it came when I bought it. I find the huskies slide a little and don't fit perfectly, also had this problem when I had my Jeep Wrangler. Weathertechs are on my list to get for front and rear but they're not a real big priority since I already have the huskies up front. They're still good mats.
 
I have been using the WeatherTech liners/cargo mat, front to back for over 4 years now and never regret the extra expense. Here in CO, much snow, mud, mag chloride crap that never gets on the carpet.
 
tan or black weathertechs?

I have an 07 limited with a taupe interior.

Are the tan weathertechs a perfect color match or are they lighter?

If they are close to perfect i prefer not having black but if they are lighter and designed for tan carpet instead of taupe i think i prefer the black.

Anyone with experience or photos?

I've got an '08 with the tan interior. I don't know if there are several shades of tan for that year, but my Weathertech liners are way off in color. Much, much darker. Doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't come close to matching.

OP - be forewarned that if you have the double decker in the rear, the Weathertech liner is a POS. It doesn't even come close to fitting properly on top of the deck, and frankly doesn't even fit correctly below it (even if you remove the top deck completely, as I eventually did in an effort to get it to fit). The fronts fit great, but the rear mat was a huge (and expensive) disappointment. I even returned mine and and the local shop order another, just to be sure it wasn't packaged incorrectly. Same problem.

Thanks for the input. I'm just doing the front and rear seats due to the kids. It looks like the weathertech digitals are the best choice for that.

I agree. I sell these things all the time. Fit and finish is good with both products. Pricing is very very close. In the t4r I would have to do the huskies for the very reason that they are softer. When you go to dump the trash accumulated in the mat, it doesn't fall out like the weather techs.

My grey matches the interior well.

Some cars I would recommend weather techs, in this application I would recommend huskies.
 
I have WeatherTechs in my 07 and love them. Ive even had friends and family comment on how nice they are. Winners in my book for sure.
 
My only complaint with Weathertechs is that i wear a hole where my heel is drivers side they arent that tough..i have these in all my vehicles and end up having to patch up a hole in them,,,just my 2c
