I agree. I sell these things all the time. Fit and finish is good with both products. Pricing is very very close. In the t4r I would have to do the huskies for the very reason that they are softer. When you go to dump the trash accumulated in the mat, it doesn't fall out like the weather techs.

My grey matches the interior well.

Some cars I would recommend weather techs, in this application I would recommend huskies.

I just got the weathtechs today. I am concerned about the kids tripping over the lip that sticks up by the rear doors. Does husky make the xact series for the 4Runner? I also got the weathertech for the rear of my double cab tundra and will be swapping that as well because of the lip.

How to Stop WT's from sliding

So I got the WT's installed and to start with, the drivers liner does not line up with the anchoring tabs. No big deal there. The other issue is that the front liners would slide around. After searching the web, I found an easy cure that worked. Place a piece of the rubber shelf liner under them. No more sliding around.

Ive had 3 sets of weathertechs and i can never get them to not slide. I have huskys now in the front and the bottom is covered with spikes and they havent moved once! I think it really comes down to if you want the rugged look or sleeker look. Price difference isn't a huge factor

Hello all ,new to the 4g scene but am a fellow 3g'er for a while now.so a quick hello ,and a question to boot .does anyone have a picture of the ill fitting rear mat ? i also have the double decker rear thingy but was hoping the weather tech mat would be a good option from our dog's tearing up the back of the truck .

I've got an '08 with the tan interior. I don't know if there are several shades of tan for that year, but my Weathertech liners are way off in color. Much, much darker. Doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't come close to matching.

OP - be forewarned that if you have the double decker in the rear, the Weathertech liner is a POS. It doesn't even come close to fitting properly on top of the deck, and frankly doesn't even fit correctly below it (even if you remove the top deck completely, as I eventually did in an effort to get it to fit). The fronts fit great, but the rear mat was a huge (and expensive) disappointment. I even returned mine and and the local shop order another, just to be sure it wasn't packaged incorrectly. Same problem.

I wish I would have seen this a week ago. Oh, well. I just picked mine up yesterday and "installed" them this morning.

I also have an '08 w/ tan interior, and the Weathertech tan is darker. They should call it "light brown", if they can afford the extra letters. I didn't want black, because they'll always look dirty. Grey didn't make sense.

I have the same experience with the cargo liner. With the deck down, I plan to fill the gap between the liner and the rear seats with a towel to keep the dog fur out of the carpet.

All that being said, they seem great so far. I haven't driven yet, so I don't know how much they will slide.

When I looked at the Husky site, I didn't see tan as an option, so I passed.
