2007 4runner vibration and hum

I have a hum coming between 30-40 mph and again around 65-75. I changed my right front bearing and still have the hum. The hum does go away when swerving to the right but stays present when swerving left. Any ideas?

Is the issue coming up through into Steering wheel (shaking,jerking,etc) and can you feel it or is the issue just auditory? Have you had an other suspension service done, ie (alignment)

Tell us more about the truck. Is it 4X4? Is it lifted? When you had the bearing changed was it done at a reputable shope with the proper tools? I ask the last question because a local shop here changed my bearing and used a press to get the old bearing out. When they did this it bent the drive flange just enough so that it ate the new wheel bearing in about 6 weeks. If you have a leveling kit it could be the same problem I have which is a needle bearing in the front diff that doesnt like the angle of the cv I guess. In my case the vibration/hum is only at 40mph. It also goes away completely when I go into 4 hi and everything locks up in the front diff.

I ended up having to replace both right & left front wheel bearings within a week if each other.

I think you changed to wrong bearing. If you swerve to right and hum goes away then your left bearing is bad. You are off loading weight on your left hub when you swerve right and therefore hum goes away. I just did both bearing replacements ast week even though only one of them is bad.

I ordered the whole hub assembly online. Two wheel drive v6. You are probably right on the other side being the bad bearing. Oh and yes you can feel vibration thru steering I Will swap the other bearing

My 99 has the same problem only no hum. I feel a vibration through the steering column. It varies depending on surface of the road, but I always feel it. My mechanic can't seem to find it. Had an alignment, new tie-rods, new shocks, tires are balanced. It's driving me crazy. I love my 4Runner and would like to keep it as long as possible, but I don't know how long I can deal with this.
