Is this including or excluding fleet sales? I know many vendors that did not extend their fleet purchase through GM, Dodge, or Ford due to rising fuel concerns. Toyota and Nissan have much smaller fleet sales in this country (not sure why though, they would probably be more reliable).
4Runner sales are way down 
By over 20% YTD and by over 30% June '07 v. June '06.

Are you trying to prove something, Koz?! Hmmmm...maybe i am just paranoid....
Koz, can you give us actual sales instead of percentages. Previous Tundra (up till 2006) did not sell well...thus, it's "+42.3%" is quite misleading. Geez, Koz, don't you ever learn?!
For all of these % you give, i am sure that you can give ACTUAL SALES FIGURES between the truck brands, right??
As for Nissan Frontier vs. Tacoma, i agree...a pretty face and Toyota's reputation wins all the time. IMHO, the Frontier is the sleeper...a quality truck that you can have for cheap!
Oh yeah, the Ford Exploder was #1 for a long time...and we all know what a piece of junk that was!

That is quite a bit, but I suppose one has to remember that for the average SUV buyer who, there is a ton on the market nowadays. The Pilot, a whole crap load of Domestics, and even the Highlander. Not to mention the Koreans are really aggressive. A 4 year old design, even though it's aged incredibly well IMHO, has some real stiff competition now.GatorGreg said:4Runner sales are way down

I posted the data that shows what I predicted would happen. Toyota is on its way to becoming the number manufacturer in the world (which they are already) and soon to be in the US. Also the Tundra will knock the F-150 off the top.

So, basically, Tundra still trails the group by a signficant amount...by a butt load when you compared it to Chevy and Ford. Remember, Chevy Silverado AND GMC Sierra are the same and should be counted as one. So, Tundra has indeed dented the sales of domestic trucks, but domestics still sell more by a significant amount.
And remember, the Tundra is the new kid on the block with tons of incentives (more so than domestics!)...these numbers are not likely gonna change anytime soon. Toyota maybe #1 in US soon (within a few months) but, with trucks, they are still lagging behind. And this is confirmed by just looking around Houston Texas (truck city of USA)...you just don't see many Tundras...you certainly see a ton of them on the dealership lot...thus, demand vs. supply seems to to favor supply at this time.

3. Dodge Ram = 154,143

5. Toyo Tundra = 61,113
6. Toyo Tacoma = 77,127
So, actually IMO, the best selling truck so far this year is the Chevy/GMC line. Toyota has a very long way to go before reaching the top, much less 3rd place (Dodge Ram).
So, one may argue that the Tundra sales are increasing from May to June...but one should also notice that Chevy/GMC sales are increasing a rapid rate also...and the gap between domestics and Toyota is widening every month...it's not even close.

The Tundra has a long way to go to become the number one selling fullsize, maybe the third or fourth gen. Toyota has a set a goal of 200k for annual sales. IIRC, I think the F-series is somewhere of 900k a year and GM is selling 600-700k a year for both the Silverado and Sierra.

Yes, the domestics sell much more pick-ups but their sale are plummeting and Toyota sales are increasing. Toyota knows that the greatest potential future growth, at this time, is in the 1/2 ton pick-up market. This is exactly how Toyota took over the car market and why they invested BILLIONS in making a better 1/2 ton pick-up. I remember when some people said that the Tundra would not even affect domestic sales.
