I just picked up a 07 V8 with 130k miles and within the first week of owning it I realized I have the TAIKO chip failure issue that lots of other owners are having.. its the intermittent issue where I can unlock the doors but can't lock them.
The dealer quoted me 750 for a new OEM junction block.. I see it much cheaper online for older models, 2000-2002 for example. Around $150
Can someone confirm that the junction block from an older model would/would not work on my 07.
(also: does anyone think one can find the better Panasonic chip sold separately? i have part numbers from another thread:Doors won't lock - write-up and i'm willing to solder)
