2007 V8 non-JBL radio cutting out

I've been having problems with my stock radio cutting out right after I start my truck. It seems like the radio cuts out really quickly and then back on. It may do it once or do it 3 or 4 times. Then it goes back to normal until the next time I start the truck again. I've noticed that at night it even has an effect on the temp display. I'm thinking something is shorting out but I don't know where to start looking. Any ideas without having to pull the whole dash apart?

This radio thing is driving me nuts. It goes in and out only during the first 5 minutes of having the vehicle on. The pauses before it comes back on are getting longer. I'm worried that it might have something to do with not just the radio as the lights on the air/temperature display flash at the same time.

I think it might be the ignition switch. I sat in my garage and played with turning the truck on and off (not starting the engine) and the radio would be on some times and off other times. I'll have to look into purchasing a new ignition. That could be pricy with the chip and everything.
