Just for those interested, I keep close track of gas and mileage as habit it a logbook. For my 2008 4R 6 cyl limited. Bought with 14,345 on the odo, now 86,431.
Total 72,086 miles, 4200.7 gallons gas, avg price $3.32, overall MPG 17.2
Best recorded MPG on a tank 26.9, worst 12.9,
I work 8 miles from work, so not a lot of economical driving during the week. I drive home for lunch. So about 32 miles/day during the week.
My overall Avg miles/day = 38.
Factory tires replaced with Michelin LTX MS/2 at 52,000
Factory Battery recently replaced with Optima Red Top 34R. Need the reversed terminal version. Why replace? OEM Panasonic was now 7 years old. I don't wait till they die. No flames please.
Headlights are DDM Tuning HIDs 35W, no relay. All LEDs inside, tails, plate bulb, running board bulbs.
Oil/filter changed 14 times by me, dino oil. Easiest vehicle I've ever owned to change the oil. Use 5W30 whatever is on sale at Wally World that I've heard of (Mobil, Quaker, Pennzoil, etc...) Who cares. Always Toyota filters for about $6 at the dealer.
Factory front brakes replaced at 60,200. Factory rears at 68,885.
Both replaced with drilled/slotted rotors & ceramic pads
Fronts replaced with Power Stop K2421 kit from Amazon, rears Power Stop K2405 kit
Been very happy with this vehicle, my first rice burner. Easy maintenance.
This forum has been very helpful, many minor mods like the high beam + fog light etc...
