2008 FJ Crui....crui...Hummer?

2008 Hummer HX

I think Hummer likes the FJ cruiser. Looks cool from the side...but thats about it. Do you off-roaders think this will be more capable than the previous models? It looks tough to me...

not a big fans of hummer except original H1..... the rest of the line are just too crappy..... actually when H2 came out, one of the customer from my old job came in and complained his H2 got rusted under carriage after 4 months of owning it.... what a shame....

holy freaking crap...that looks awesome. I agree the only hummer worth a crap is the original. and my favorite configuration of the hummer is the slant back...i doubt if the end design will be that good looking. but the concept if sweet!

I think that Hummers can be quite capable off-road...H3 is no pansy. However, the main issues with Hummers are styling, image that they carry, and long term durability & value.

If Hummer can somehow make this new Hummer respectable in terms of styling, then it may give the FJ a run for the money.

Also in the picture with the doors and top off it looks to me as if they are trying to compete directly with the Wrangler.

Here is a great story...

When I was shopping for my 4Runner (I had my mind made up already...I had to have a 4Runner again!) a friend of mine made me drive everything else in the class. We went to the local Hummer dealer and went for a drive in the H3. I have to admit that I was surprised. It wasn't all that bad. The stupid plastic crap on the dash in the H2 wasn't there, it seems pretty capable but here is the best part!

While in the show room talking with the sales guys my friend was sitting in an H2 across the show room and sticks his head out the window and yells "LOOK I'M A RAPPER!" I about died and the sales guys where speachless. When they asked if I was interested I said...NOPE. But thanks for the test drive.

It looks sweet. Mechanically, it's a lot like a Jeep. Front and rear axles with locking diffs and a V6. I'd wheel it.

That's crazy, it really does look like an FJ, I guess they are trying to compete with Toyota?
