2008 Highlander

Yes, it's a mall-mobile, but the 2008 redesign may hint at features (i.e. a standard rear-view camera that doesn't require navigation on Sport and Limited models) that will be in the next 4Runner. I also see a push-button start ignition in the photo of the interior.

Tomorrow (today?) Toyota will officially show the redesigned Highlander. For me, it's a little strange looking (kind of like someone took a RAV4 and sat on it).

Interestingly, there is another Toyota forum where someone supposedly hinted that the next Sequoia will take styling cues from the '08 Highlander. I'm wondering if this new look will grow on me...

I'm not to keen on it either. I like the styling on my 03 better. But like what was said above, maybe it will grow on me.

I haven't quite gotten used to the new RAV4 either.

I am not too fond of the design, but it looks like a luxury SUV both inside and outside. I can't believe that interior is in a Toyota! The new cluster design looks awkward,

More info on Toyota.com. I like the interior with navigation, without nav the dash looks a little odd. I wasn't fond of the exterior when I saw it at work today, but looking at it some more, I might be able to get use to it. I didn't like the current Highlander when it came out either, but hell, they're everywhere and I've gotten use to it.

My local dealership has a Hybrid Highlander. Not sure about the model year. It was either $ 36 or 38,000 USD! I walked away from it fast.

There was some sort of hybrid behind me in a parking lot 2 weeks ago. I never heard it coming. It scared me when I turned around and finally noticed it. They are almost silent when running on batteries!

Hey, i dont like it. Too much like a Rav 4. My bro is a GM for a toyota dealership and he said the hybrid highlanders are crap. Not enough gusto and would NEVER sell one to his family (even dirt cheap!) I am not sure about the 08 model. Thats my 2 Cents!!
