What does everyone here think about it? Does it have a lockable center differential? I don't offroad, and if I do get the highlander when my lease is up, I would want to know I can lock the center diff in case im stuck in big snow.

my mom has one, it is a very nice vehicle, though I still prefer the 4Runner. The ride is very smooth though which is nice; it just depends on what you are going to be using it for and what you like though. In the end get what you will be happy with.

I'm going to test drive one tomorrow. The only reason I'm looking is that my friend wants to by me out of the lease, and the miles are on pace to be 10K over. Plus, I have yet to give my truck a brake job or tires, both will cost 1500-2000 combined.

If I don't sell it off, I might keep it until the 5th gen 4runner comes out.

Its an AWD system to my knowledge. Which means no transfer case and would also mean no center locking diff. It probably says 4x4 on it just like the Rav4 does . The term 4x4 or 4WD has become a very loose term used and more of a marketing thing.

AWD system does fine in bad weather on the street.

Yes they are getting pretty damn expensive......

Talked to a guy yesterday who has an 08 Highlander Ltd. He says he is getting 24 mpg, while the Toyota Canada brochure indicates 32. I am getting 23 with mine on the highway, and it has the 4.7 V8 (imperial gallons)
