2008 SR5 4x4: 4 Wheel Drive Switch not working

after unplugging the battery, and removing a number of dash pieces to replace an aux cable for my iphone, the 4x4 switch stopped working.

when I unplug the switch completely and turn the engine on, the "4x4 engaging" light flashes, but when i plug it back in, nothing.

gonna get a diagnostic tool hooked up soon, but wondered if anyone knew anything off the top of their heads.

Sure you got all your plugs back on ? When I did my grom did same thing , because it s right there just sayin !
