2009 4th generation running boards

Hello,
I'm not sure where to post so I thought I'd start here. I just purchased a 2020 SR5 4Runner with no running boards, my 2009 SR5 4 Runner which I'm trading in has running boards. I'm wondering if I can take the running boards off the 2009 and put them on the 2020? I haven't found anything on the internet that helps me to know if the 2009 running boards will fit on the 2020.

Any one have an idea of how I can find out?

Thanks. I guess it's worth a shot to take them off the truck I'm about to trade in.

Now the question is, will the dealer notice the running boards are gone, they were there when they gave me the trade value. :decision:
