2009 Tacoma rims for a 4th gen?

I just picked up an 05 Sport V6. I found some XD recolvers for sale with 285/70/17 Duratracs already mounted. I like the rims and love the tires. The owner doesn't know and neither do I if the offset and backspace?? are compatible with my vehicle. I'm new to trucks and I'm not sure what to check for fitment. He has a 2009 Tacoma V6 and a 4.5 backspace?? That's about all he could tell me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

And... any input on the rims themselves would be appreciated. Good bad or otherwise.

If they fit the tacoma they should fit the 4r since the front suspensions are essentially the same.

Kinda what I figured but I was hoping to be sure. Also - I didn't think about clearance. Would a lift be needed to fit 285/70/17s? Disregard my last - found the fitment faq.

Those XDs have an offset of -12.
