200k+ miles 4th gens have you replaced your radiator?

Started leaking about 140K miles, at the lower passenger side corner, replaced with a Denso radiator. :thumb3:

218k on my 08 V6, just found a leak as I noticed the burp tank was real low.

Upper driver side has the pink crusties. Going with a RockAuto Denso for ~$100 shipped.

Would you all recommend replacing the water pump while I've got the front of the engine torn off? I'm doing all the idlers/tensioners at the same time, and I'd rather just spend teh $75 for the Aisin WP and get it over with than worry about it. I regularly take cross-country trips in the beast.

I replaced mine at 145,000 miles. Started leaking in both corners at the bottom.

Well, radiator was leaking, dont know the mileage, i suspect it has been fiddled with, would say 200k, mechanic plugged the hole using araldite ( epoxy resin) and on we go

Replaced mine at 160k due to a very slight leak. And according to the carfax, it was also replaced at 105k when the timing belt was done (not sure if it was leaking or if they replaced it "Just because" since I didn't own it then), so I am currently at 175k and the car is on its 3rd radiator.

I’m at 207k and haven’t replaced it yet, and I’m doing weekly road trips from Illinois to Michigan all summer with no issues.

From the looks it is the original factory one with the Toyota markings.

Might change it when I do my next coolant change.

I’ve gotten into the habit of doing a drain and fill every 15k miles in an attempt to prevent the known head gasket failures. My theory is that if you leave in old coolant it turns acidic and that causes the gasket leak.

I could be totally wrong but $25 for peace of mind is worth it to me.

I'm at 250k and just started noticing a leak on the driver side on the raditor. Not upset at all because I beat on the poor thing but it's going strong. Planning on another belt replacement and swap out the radior along with some hoses. Love my 4Runner.

I noticed my radiator was leaking after I bought it 222,000 miles. It was leaking from the backside of drivers side where the tank connects to the tubes.

I like to change the radiator every 10 years or 100,000 miles with all new fluid. I generally use Zerex asian fluid.

Swapped mine out for all aluminum unit at 200k, along with hoses, wp, fan, clutch and stat. Figured I might as well reboot the whole thing since I primarily use my rig for adventures. Now sitting at 207460, working well.

144k miles California car, mine started leaking and was replaced.

260K just replaced mine a couple weeks ago, started leaking at the bottom corner. Noticed it on routine oil change.
