I'm gearing up to replace my timing belt, 200k miles. Service shop did the first 100k mile change. I recall them replacing water pump and belts. I purchased a kit with all that and tensioners I think. At 200k miles, what else shall I replace while I'm doing this job? I believe the manual says the valve covers will come off so I'm thinking I had a little leak from those until I tightened them down a while back sooooo, maybe new gaskets for those? Anything else while I'm at it? My power steering pump has whined in the past until I flushed it and recently it felt broke due to cold temps? until it warmed up and I had power to my steering again so think I will just replace that with a reman. Anything else you can think of while I'm taking apart the front part of the engine?

Seals (cam and crank), t-stat, oil cooler hoses, rad hoses, crank pulley bolt, amoung other parts.

Figured radiator hoses and thermostat since doing cooling system stuff although I didn't mention but you have reminded me that is something I can go ahead and get set up as well. Thanks!

Crank pulley bolt? Do they go bad? Seals on cam and crank, ok, sounds good to me! Thanks for the tips!
Got a kit off flea bay, same kit could have gotten off of Amazon but was cheaper from flea bay, have a look!?

The crank bolt is tagged as non-reusable by Toyota, but that is true for any piece which requires threadlocker. Toyota only uses their own pre-applied formula, they never say to reuse and reapply. Reports are that the dealers routinely reuse and apply threadlocker. Take your choice, it's like $6. I bought a new one.
That would not be my favorite kit. Timing belt has no name, and GMB is not OEM on the idlers, and not what I would want on such a critical part. Koyo and NSK are OEM on the idlers, and Mitsuboshi on the belt. I'd want OEM seals, too.
Aircabinman on eBay has reliable kits with the right parts.

That's good. I'm talking about the engine oil cooler hoses that run near the oil filter. One runs from the water pump to the oil cooler, then oil cooler to the block. They carry antifreeze. I would replace them, they are about $10 each from the dealer.
I would replace the crank pulley bolt, it's $6 and pretty damn important. Make sure you torque to 217 ft-lbs.
I agree with [MENTION=10169]TheDurk[/MENTION] that the best kits at the best prices are from AirCabinMan on eBay. Don't skimp on the idlers.
Well, pooh, bought that timing kit a couple months ago, I guess I'm stuck.
Researched some different ones and found easier to buy some stuff separate from the kits... Most reviews I saw said Aisin was an oem kit. I now see the manufacturer names on the different parts and understand the differences... seems some of the stuff is oem and other stuff not. At this point, I will probably go ahead and use it and know better next time around at 300k. Should have asked here to begin with. Or should I possibly buy just the belt, bearings and seals over again? Doesn't seem to be a separate item on aircabinman's ebay but guess can go to dealer? :-/

Aircabinman can piece you a kit together, just message him and tell him what you need. Crank pulley bolt is Dealer item only. The pulleys are way overpriced at the dealer.
